I grab the Gordon Ramsay cookbook from the coffee table of my friend with the tiled living room floor. I hold it up to his face. "Do you recognize this toolbag?" I say it in a way that emphasizes the toolbag is on the cover. I wasn't directly calling Gordon a toolbag, like "Hey, toolbag, do you know who this is?" I was settling for the indirect swipe. It seemed more subtle and witty. I like to be witty. Even in high-pressure situations.

I superhumanly rip the cookbook in half. "NOW, we're even."
